God offers us true hope in our lives, giving us meaning, purpose, fulfillment, and strength to endure the darkest times we face in life.
Jesus is The True Vine, who gives life, love, and joy to His disciples. Jesus calls and empowers us to produce fruit in our lives that faithfully and accurately represent Him to others.
God has a history of calling and empowering the unlikely underdog to do the incredible. This week we look at the inspiring story of David, the young shepherd boy, who stands up to the great champion warrior giant of the Philistines, Goliath of Gath. Your giant may change, but our God remains the same, and he is a giant slayer.
Faith in Jesus needs no supplement. He is truly enough. In the second chapter of Paul’s letter to the church in Colosse, he exhorts them to be rooted and built up in Christ, and to hold firm in their faith in Jesus. Paul labors that the church will be strong and mature, and protected from false doctrine that threatens it.
After the death of Moses, God calls Joshua and the people of Israel to be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with them, wherever they go. Today, we likewise, need to trust in God’s faithfulness and provision as we obediently follow his direction and calling in our lives.
