One of the ways the early church rapidly grew in size and impact was through the power of invitation, as followers of Jesus join His mission to invite others to come and see for themselves who Jesus is. We all have the ability to extend an invitation that could radically change lives.
God has a purpose and a plan for our lives, and He calls us to pursue Him and His purposes above our own. This week we hear from Carson, our special guest speaker, who has just returned from a short-term mission trip to Slovakia.
In His advent, Jesus brings us His hope, love, joy, and peace. He also brings us to a point of decision, where we have to decide for ourselves how we will respond to His rule and reign. Will you respond as wise men and the shepherds did?
Jesus lovingly pursues the outcast and the sinner. He didn’t come for the righteous, but for the sinner, in desperate need of the grace that is only available through Him. He pursues us right where we are, and calls us to leave it all behind and to follow Him.
