Jesus is received, welcomed, and praised by the crowds as Lord and King as He enters Jerusalem. Only a few days later He is rejected, hated, and mocked by crowds, leading up to the cross. These same responses to Jesus exist today. What is your response?
In all of life’s busyness and stress, it is all too easy to lose focus on what matters most- Jesus. We must continually choose to recalibrate our focus and to pursue Him in our everyday life, despite all of the distractions that seek to pull us away from Jesus.
Worship is our response to who God is and to what He has done. It is our celebration of He who alone is worthy of our praise. This morning we discuss worship in this shortened message, which accompanied an extended time of worshipping God together.
Jesus calls His followers to not only know the truth, but to respond to the truth in obedience. One of the ways that God uses to grow and develop us in our obedience and faithfulness to Him is through our relationships with one another. This entails accountability, humility, grace, and a commitment to grow together.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd, who knows and calls His sheep by name. He is the Good Shepherd to so loves His sheep that He lays down His life in our place in order to save us.
Jesus is The True Vine, who gives life, love, and joy to His disciples. Jesus calls and empowers us to produce fruit in our lives that faithfully and accurately represent Him to others.
God has called us to live lives of obedience, even when we struggle to see his purposes or his plan.
