One of the many ways Jesus develops disciples is through their fellowship with one another. The disciples and the early church were devoted to pursuing Jesus together, and this remains vital for us today as well.
The God of all creation has invited us to join Him on His mission as active participants. He has called us to invest in His Kingdom, not because of what He wants from us, but because of what He wants for us.
When Jesus’ disciples answered his call to come and follow him, they not only entered into a relationship with Jesus but also joined the community of Christ-followers. We are not called to be lone ranger disciples who go alone, but rather are called and gifted to be fully devoted, active, and engaged members of the body of Christ.
Growing as a member of the body of Christ.
