Faith in Jesus needs no supplement. He is truly enough. In the second chapter of Paul’s letter to the church in Colosse, he exhorts them to be rooted and built up in Christ, and to hold firm in their faith in Jesus. Paul labors that the church will be strong and mature, and protected from false doctrine that threatens it.
After the death of Moses, God calls Joshua and the people of Israel to be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with them, wherever they go. Today, we likewise, need to trust in God’s faithfulness and provision as we obediently follow his direction and calling in our lives.
