You cannot stumble on something that is behind you.
There is hope always!
And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

None of us are completely free from the pangs of guilt. There are still issues that haunt us and revisit us about things we have done.
Stand firm then, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
